God in the Flesh

by Mark T. Hancock · 1 comment

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Can you hear the intensity of Paul’s voice here?  Strong words like “pleading” and “imploring” reflect the passionate appeal of God for us to join Him in reconciling the world.

It is as if He is saying, “Give Me your flesh and I’ll give you My Spirit.  Then we’ll have a Christian.”

Jesus was the example of what it looks like for God to live fully in flesh.  Now we are the example.  Let’s do our part.

Simple and to the point. I love the line, “Give me your flesh and I’ll give you My Spirit. Then we’ll have a Christian.”
