God and Your GPS

On a few occasions I have felt that I know better than my GPS.

And as it patiently insists that I should turn left at the next intersection, I ignore the “2001: A Space Odyssey HAL wannabe” and follow something greater, wilder, and more alive.

My intuition.

This internal guidance system, when submitted to God, is the greatest, wildest, and most alive part of us. When we can distinguish His voice through the Holy Spirit from the canned voice of the world, we are available to do what He is calling us to do.

It takes faith to let go of the ordinary instructions of life and to follow after that inner leading. But that’s where we find the most interesting territory.

Go ahead. Ignore the GPS. Go with your gut. When tuned into God it is the very best part of you.

A great thought and good counsel. There is nothing so accurate and wise as the Voice of God for you. You can avoid the dangerous curves in your life, accidents and time spent in heavy traffic. The trick is tuning into the signal. We all have a receiver but we do not all hear with our spiritual ears. Just as our physical ears can be trained to hear at unheard of levels so can our spiritual. Sometimes the trick is to just tune out every other voice, especially your own. ;)

Thanks my brother.

“…let go of the ordinary instructions of life..” Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I was gettin’ worried and thinkin’ I was the only one with that perspective. It’s as if the men are emasculated (sorry, but sometimes I wish guys would grow a pair and stop being so afraid to proclaim Jesus as the ‘jaw dropper, show stopper, and big Pappa, life changin’, completely exhilerating, miracle worker that He is. Hey-we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our TESTImony) Tactful? Uh, maybe not. But read Matthew 15:12-14. Maybe it’s called ‘tough love’. Happy Valentines Day!
